what kind of scale was used to weight the world record largemouth bass?

and how accurate do you think it was?

2. It had to be certified by the state authorities at the time- (1933?) I guess it was as accurate as any scale in the state of Georgia (which is where the bass was caught). It wasn't as accurate as today, but there's no reason I can think of that it would not be accurate to the ounce. It's not like it was the dark ages-

3. It was measured and weighed at the local general store on a certified scale and then verified by Field & Stream magazine. Even in 1932 there were certification requirements for the calibration of retail measuring devices, so I would imagine it would have been very accurate.

4. State certified, so it would have been quite accurate.

5. It was a spring scale .I think accurate .

6. One that has ounces and pounds is calibrated and certified accurate.
