What is the world record for largemouth bass on 4 lb line?

I did research, and I can't seem. To find it.

1. I don't think there are line strength divisions for largemouth like there are for Halibut and other large species. Fighting a largemouth on 4lb test is not as hard as fighting a 200lb Halibut on 20lb test.

2. if you join the IGFA you can view all line class world records online.
http://www.igfa.org/records/default.aspx

All-Tackle records can be viewed by anyone. However, line class, fly rod, state and Junior records are limited to IGFA Members. If you’d like to become a member and access the entire IGFA records list, click here.

IGFA maintains world records for both freshwater and saltwater game fishes in line class, tippet class and all-tackle categories.

you didnt look very hard then, did you?

the IGFA most certainly keeps up with 4lb line class records for both freshwater and saltwater species. the link wont show you the answer, you have to sign up at the link to see the answer. thats why i said " if you join the IGFA, you can view all of the line class world records" and largemouth bass are listed as one of the species.

3. like erik said they don't keep up with that. i looked on that website and it wasn't there. that site is for salt water
a lake record in nc this year was broken on 4lb test and it was an over 11lb bass it was, 11 and 4oz or so

that link still didn't say it. they only keep up with it on larger fish and that is what that web site was designed for and where your money goes is for marlin.. sailfish ect. and if u know they do u could tell us the answer

4. I'm not sure what the 4-pound test record is. I do know that Bob Crupi got both his 21 AND 22 pound, 1 ounce largemouths on 6 pound line.

5. line class records are not maintained for freshwater fish.

6. There's no line records you could snag a record fish 30 lb fish with 300 lb shark line and it would still count if it makes you any happier I've caught a 4 lb bass on 2 lb line :)
