tips for fishing in a river for smallmouth bass?

I am fishing in the little miami river where there is excellent smallmouth bass fishing. Any tips?

1. Try to start fishing early in the morning. Have god bate (grub worms etc.) and make sure there is no one with u to made lots of noise. Fish like shiny object, get a good bobber.

2. I fish smallmouth by wading or floating down stream. I use about a 3 inch gulp grub on a jig or an X rap. I cast down stream from large. rocks or deep holes. And work my bait up to the rocks or through the holes.

3. I think Bobber pretty much summed it up- thumbs up.

However, I would add an Inline spinner, (like a Mepps Aglia dressed Spinner- http://www.basspro.com/Mepps-Aglia-Dressed-Spinner/product/2854/-290065) to that list.
