Are there smallmouth bass in the Philadelphia area of the Delaware river?

In the part of the river I usually fish there are, but I heard someone say they've never caught one there

1. There should be, the Philly section is very industrialized it might be kind of tricky. You would be better off goin upstream where there are less obstacles. Try the schuylkill, its great for smallies and largemouth. I fish it a lot and there are good sized fish in there.
