what is the best bait to catch large or smallmouth bass with?

i usually use fake minnows spinners and nightcrawlers but i usually catch little tiny fish like bluegill and sunfish i have caught large and smallmouth bass but not that many so someone please tell me what they have the best luck with

1. I have caught decant1-4 lbs smallmouth on a twisty tail grub or a weedless tube. make sure it is weedless.


P.S. the tube you want to use is a crawfish color tube.

3. the BEST bait is a senko. it will catch both largemouth and smallmouth bass of all sizes. rig texas style weightless. other lures that will catch bass are spinnerbaits, crankbaits, topwater frogs, plastic worms, topwaters, and plastic lizards. hope this helps.

4. Zoom worms of any type. If you are fishing in the early morning/midday you should fish with purple-ish and more dark colored/natural worms. Later near dusk I would recommend going more vibrant colors such as pink and yellow. Depending where you are fishing too, if it is shallow rattle traps work, if you have depth that you can work with might wanna try some divers or spinner baits.
