Do I need to have my Florida fishing license on me if I am spearfishing without a boat?

Can I leave it in the car when I swim out from the beach?

1. If it's not water proof then you wouldn't bring it into the water with you, but you want to have it near by. Even if a ranger stops and arrests you, you are legally licensed. You just need to decide whether it's worth the trouble of appearing in court to prove you're innocent. If you can protect the license and carry it with you it could save a lot of aggravation if you are stopped and searched.
