How can I catch bigger largemouth bass?

I fish a lot in a bass pond, and normally catch about 10-12 inch largemouth bass. My friend, who fishes in the pond says theres 4ft pike in the pond, and she has pictures of her catching really big bass. She also is curious why im not catching these bigger fish...im using the bait she recommends, which is fake black worms and leeches. I also use spinner baits, and other jigs. Any suggestions on new baits, techniques or areas to fish??? Thanks!!

1. Maybe fish with her and observe?

Also, maybe upsize your bait (larger lure, larger fish).

In a well-fished pond, some theorize that fish can become acclimatized to artificial lures. You may have to slow up your presentation to try to entice the killer instinct as opposed to rely upon the ambush bite you might get with something like a spinnerbait. You may have to work a worm very slow and twitchy to goad a biggun' into biting against its better judgment.

Also, some theorize that larger bass will hold advantageous territory. For example, if there are few pieces of cover like trees, blowdowns and stumps, the kings and queens of the ponds will claim them as their own ambush spots.

2. If you happen to be at the Right place at the Right time & present the Right bait, you to can catch larger fish
I have fished beside others, that sometimes they catch more & larger fish & sometimes, i do. Other times, it is a toss up, who catches the most & larger fish.

Just DON'T give up trying
