what is the best time to go deep sea fishing in florida?

i am going sometime in the next couple weeks with my brother in law and i don't think we will get anything but he thinks differant. we go out far at least 40 miles and our launch site is usually new smyrna, but we do go to other close place to lauch, but it is always in the central florida area.
and where is the best place to get weather and wave information.

1. Always when there isn't a Hurricane coming. Otherwise, go for it.

Edit: I always use NOAA. Find the area where you plan to fish and click on it.

2. The best time to go, would be anytime that there isn't a hurricane or other strong winds blowing.

check & see if the charter boats are going out, If they are, it should be reasonably safe to go out.

any time you are going out , you should have a waterproof marine radio with you, as well as a G P S. That way, if you have a problem, you or someone with you, should be able to summons help
