Is Power Pro Braid good for a primary line for mainly bass fishing?

Is Power Pro Braid good for a primary line for mainly bass fishing. I'm thinking about switching my 8lb mono to 15 lb Power Pro Braid on my primary rod. I mainly use spoons, spinnerbaits, topwaters, and jigs; and fish for bass, pickerel, trout, and perch. If you could help me out any and all additional advice and tips would be appreciated.

1. yes. i love my braided line. mono stretches, braided dosent. better feel and hook sets

2. It would work. Just get ready for some 'bone jarring' strikes and for feeling every move the fish makes when you're bringing them in.

You'll also detect more strikes, due to the sensitivity of the braid, and you'll feel the movement of your lure a lot more intensely.

Braid will also be more resistant to nicks and 'bruises' when your line comes over a rock or tree under the water.

Go online to find some suggested knots to use with the braid .. they are different from what most mono users usually tie.

3. it sucks

4. I think that braid is too high maintenance for a main line to use. It has its places but you would be in a better position to use a fluorocarbon line which would be more practical for multiple bait applications. Fluoro has less stretch then mono and is almost invisible and it sinks. It would be great for spinner baits, cranks, plastics and live bait.

5. Its great line. Use a 6' mono or flouro leader in clear water. Set your hook a little lighter because braid has zero streatch
