Florida Fishing Salt and Freshwater Help?
My friend just invited me to Tierra Verde Florida to his grandparents house. He lives right on the gulf and I spotted some ponds not to far away too. I have fished the gulf a few times but never did freshwater fishing in Florida during February. Anyone have any ideas on baits for February in central Florida. Thanks guys:)

1. Like most places, Soft Plastic's would probably be your "best bet" during February.
Start with a 5"-7" Texas-rigged worm or lizard. Here are a couple popular suggestions:
1. Gambler, Paddle-tail Worm (Try the Black/Purple or Red Shad colors)- http://www.basspro.com/Gambler-Flappn-Tail-Worms/product/90490/-1259851
2. Berkley, 6" Lizard- http://www.basspro.com/Berkley-PowerBait-Original-Power-Lizard-6/product/52793/-1205706
OR
Try a Wacky-rigged 4"-5" worm- http://www.basspro.com/Yum®-Dinger™-Worms/product/50059/-1100459
You may also want to try a Spinnerbait. 1/4-1/2 OZ with either a single Colorado blade or Double Willow Blades.
- Single Colorado- http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Lazer-Eye-Spinnerbaits-Single-Colorado/product/15393/-573613
-Double Willow- http://www.basspro.com/Strike-King-The-Burner-Spinnerbaits/product/10202576/-1738890
Get gold colored blades if possible and a White/Chartreuse skirt.
Suspending lures work well for lethargic Bass in any State.
Rapala, HJ10 Husky Jerk, (in "Silver") - http://www.basspro.com/Rapala-Husky-Jerk-Minnow/product/2827/-1101991
If none of these even get a second glance, downsize to a 3"-4" Berkley Grub and corresponding colored 1/8 OZ Jighead- http://www.basspro.com/Berkley®-PowerBait®-Original-Power-Grub®/product/15723/-1210123
Hope this info helps ya? Good luck.
