Where is a great place to go bass fishing in either Florida or Mexico for a vacation?

My brother and Dad and I are wanting to stay a few nights and have a guide take us bass fishing. Looking for great service and of course that trophy bass.

1. i used to go to falcon which is a great bass lake, but i wouldnt suggest anything in mexico right now. last time we went down there we noticed a 12 foot cinderblock wall with razor wire on top around the hotel. and the room next to ours hand been battering rammed in and it was ransacked. we talked to a guy who had his tires shot out after he didnt stop and help somone who tried to flag him down. there was a recent report of mexican "pirates" kidnapping fisherman on the water. so as much as i wish i could suggest amistad or falcon, i would say stick to florida or southern california. maybe even Fork in Texas

2. mexico sucks

3. Garcia Lake (and Stickmarsh) is a well-known trophy Bass area. During certain times of the year, it's not unusual to catch over 100 fish a day!

Here is some info on this location- http://www.stickmarsh.com/stickmarsh/reports/current.shtml

If you want a taste of "old Florida" you should try the Lake George area around Welaka, Fl. The Floridian Sports Club is a fantastic resort- directly on the St. Johns, pool, tennis courts, Etc. It is currently owned by Bass Pro Shops.....

Hope this helps ya?
