For shark fishing, which side of Florida should I go to, the Atlantic or the Gulf side?

I'm planning a shark fishing trip for myself, my brother, and my dad. I know the Atlantic side is great for catching sharks, but I'm do not know about the Gulf side.

1. I have caught multiple baby sharks off of my dock on the gulf side (hammerhead,nurse) but I am not sure if there are many big ones. Unless you go way off the coast, I think you are better off in the Atlantic.
