Fly fishing question pretty easy ten points? In the Summer im going on a fishing trip to the shenondoah and potomac river i need to know what kind of flyfishing line i will need for catching smallmouth bass and trout also do i need a lighter line for trout? okay from other answers ive heard that im not giving enough description well here im fishing for small mouth and large mouth bass also im using streamer's and nymphs anymore?

Fly fishing leader question? Hey I'm pretty new to fly fishing in general. I plan to use the rod for largemouth and smallmouth bass, and sunfish. I just bought a leader at cabelas. It is a 6 pound leader that is 7.5 feet. It has a small loop at the end. What knot should I use to connect this with my main line?

Smallmouths In River? I just started fishing a section of river that is full of smallmouth bass, they jump everywhere and are just lovely. I've never fished for them before but have caught them by accident while fishing for other species. I fly fish and spin fish from the shore or in waders. Fly fishing smallmouth bass? Can you fly fish for smallmouth bass on a 4 weight rod? I realize its not going to be the best for casting the large flies typically associated with bass fishing but will it be strong enough not break on medium sized bass? If the fish is too big I could just break off the tippet but I need to know if I will be doing that often.

Fly fishing rod and reel combo? I have been fly fishing for a few months now and I want to buy a new fly fishing rod and reel combo. I have been using a 40+ year old fly fishing rod that was given to me by my grandpa and its not really a "good" quality fishing rod. I want to know what a good combo would be if im fishing for mostly Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Bluegill, and if its good enough I might take it to Lake Erie when the Steelhead are running up he streams, and maybe even try fishing for pike with it! My budget is about $150 tops

Flies for bass and trout? I recently (1 year) started tying flys for fly fishing. I was wondering if anyone knows any KILLER flys for smallmouth bass and trout (when in season). I live in the leesburg area of virginia. So I would be fishing on the Potomac shenandoah and goose creek. ALSO if you know any public access points on creeks/streams near this area that would be great too!!!!
