I'm going Bass fishing this weekend, I need some advice.? I'll be going fishing on the elk river in MO. I've been bass fishing on lakes countless times , but I'm going fishing on a small clear river wich i've never fished before, its not that large. I'll be going after smallmouth mainly, but largemouth too. The water temprature will be 60-65 degress and the air tem will be up to 90 and as far as rain it has been raining all week and there is a slight chance it will rain this weekend so the water level will be up. I will be buying some new lures today and want some advice on what to buy. I'm looking on advice on wich lures will work for me during this weekend. I'm not sure if the fish are still spawning, I think they are done but not sure.

Shorelines are developed with brush and trees with ocasional docks with a rental homes. There are some big lake points and a drop off from 8-20 going around mostly the whole shorline. Its 65 degrees outside and partly cloudy. These are the conditions i must face in my tournament next week so im not exactly sure what the weather will be like. Both smallmouth and largemouth are in the lake.

Bluegill Care and Breeding? 60 to 75 degrees F for breeding? i live in ohio so temps fluxuate... do they need to have a cool down like reptiles to breed? what do they need as in gravel for spawning?peegravel or just small gravel? sand will just dirty the aquarium. how tall should plants be, and what types of plants don't fall apart and make a big mess? i need plants that will keep my aqariumnice and clean and oxygenated while also providing a nice hideing spots for baby fish. and what plants spread nicely but dont take over the aquarium? i have a 75 gal or bigger, not exactly sure what size it is, but i'm pretty sure its bigger than 75 because i compared it to the pet stores and there's looks smaller, i never got the measurments of it so dont ask. but any ways, how many small bluegill can i fit in an aqarium i guess around 90 gallons, or how many small bluegill and small smallmouth bass? and yes i'm allowed to own these fish, and i have a pond that i can fish them out of. or all i have to do is ask them to pull out some small fish or large fish in their buckets before they throw the fish in the pond whenever they stock it. and i can get some snails and clams from there too. trapdoor snails if you would like to know so yay, bunches of baby snails. and small mouth bass, anything special they need for spawning, i'll be keeping them with my bluegill, and what type of log, other than drift wood, wont rot under water, i can get waterlogged stuff from the pond, its located around trees so there are fallen branches in the water. or, instead of a log, how about a a small branch that has extra twigs going off of it and than put some plants in the middle of that for them to hide in? anything else you would like to add feel free to tell, and yes i know how big they can get and how many babies they can have and how dirty they are, and i am well aware that they jump out of their tank, i had one in a bucket just about warmed up to put in my tank and when i got home it jumped out and was stiff and stuck to the carpet, stupid me didnt put a lid on it. i had an airstone with it too so a lid prob. wouldve worked. also, will they eat meal worms or dubia roaches, i'm raising both for my leopard gecko's and since they breed like crazy i figured if they eat they i'll give them some, i can also catch grasshoppers and take their hind legs off so they can't jump, big black crickets and giant night crawlers.
