What is the best bait for Largemouth Bass? We are going camping this weekend, and for the first time we will be trying for largemouth bass. What is the best bait to catch them with? Is it much harder then going for channel cat? I haven't fished for a couple of years, but the last time I did was in the Rockies fly fishing and I caught a nice trout. If I could handle that I am thinking I can do this!! Thanks!

homemade freshwater largemouth bass bait recipes? I've been fishing in this pond by my house for 2 years, and the fish in it are extremely stubborn and picky. The only thing i've really had luck with is hot dogs, but they've learned to stay away. So long story short, i need some homemade bass bait recipes that aren't expensive and have been tested by actual fisherman like me.

Good bait for largemouth bass? VeI've started ice fishing this winter on my lake, and I have been very succesful so far. I've gone about five times so far and hav caught close to 20 pickeral and bass each time. They are all decent sized, but I am starting to want to go after bigger fish. The bass in my lake fan get up to like 15 pounds, and I was wondering if I should use different equipment for such big fish. Right now I've got 5 tip-ups, with regular string and hooks and one jig rod that I havnt tried using yet. The bait I use is small to medium minnows. Am I fine with what I have now, should I get different equipment, or should I start catching small sunnies and using them as bait?

Hi I need help catching largemouth bass specifically during the daytime hours during the summer!? I fish in a small resevoir that is at most 6 feet deep with lots of lilly pads and downed trees to offer cover. We catch an enormous amount of largemouth using buzz bait and top water poppers during early morning and sundown hours. Tips for catching Largemouth on hard bait??? I was just wondering if anyone had any tips i could use for catching largemouth bass on hard bait. I watch my father and his friends catch 3 pounders almost every time i go out but i never seem to get anything. Ive got almost every type of rapala lure and several times of zara spook topwater baits along with an arsenal of spinner baits. I have caught alot of fish on cranckbaits but never LMB. Any tips could help.

How can I catch largemouth bass that are in an overfished, heavy pressure lake? I fish at a lake that is so over fished, you barely get any bites. I need some ideas of things I can do with non-working baits, to make the bass want to fight for it. Another words, how can I change-up my baits to make them work. Example, take a worm and tie a knot in it and fish texas rigged. I don't think this would work, just an idea of want I;m looking for. Serious answers only please! And I only use artificial bait, no real worms, or minnies. I like this lake because it's within 15 min of my house. If I had another lake closer I'd go there.

A friend of a friend has a pretty good sized koi pond that is getting a little on the overstocked side and we're curious if the smaller ones will work for bait.
