how to catch largemouth bass Knowledge Base
How can I catch largemouth bass that are in an overfished, heavy pressure lake? I fish at a lake that is so over fished, you barely get any bites. I need some ideas of things I can do with non-working baits, to make the bass want to fight for it. Another words, how can I change-up my baits to make them work. Example, take a worm and tie a knot in it and fish texas rigged. I don't think this would work, just an idea of want I;m looking for. Serious answers only please! And I only use artificial bait, no real worms, or minnies. I like this lake because it's within 15 min of my house. If I had another lake closer I'd go there.
How do you catch largemouth bass in the early Spring? The pond I'm going to is rather small, less than five acres I believe. The temperature these days tops out at 60 degrees and the pond has a max depth of 5 feet at some spots. The pond also has a wide range of "sunnies" or those relatively small fish which can be found everywhere. Where should I fish? What kind of lures should I use? When should I fish? And any other tips would be much appreciated!
I want to catch largemouth bass with lures? I want to catch more bass with lures but I know nothing about fishing. So pretend I'm a retard with a fishing pole and explain to me every tip method, and successful lure you can. What areas do I cast, (like areas with structure) Where do I go, (like depth of water) types of lures,(like colors and types) how often do i wait till i move to another are on my boat? ect.
How to Catch Largemouth Bass in a Reservoir? Recently I have begun fishing in my local reservoir for bass, crappie, and other small fish, but mainly I want to catch bass and a lot of them. I caught about a 4lb bass my first time out fishing along the bank with a surface lure that needs action to dive. This was great, but now I have been unable to catch anymore bass. I need to know what I should do to catch a lot of bass anywhere up to 6 lbs. Mainly I have been fishing weedy areas near the bank. What kind of bait I should use, how I should use it, and where I should use it would be very appreciated.
How to catch largemouth bass? The lake I am fishing on is fairly small and the water is crystal clear. I am looking for good lures to use in this situation. I like floating lures such as the Jitterbug and The Hulapopper and I have found both to work O.K. but not great. I was wondering what lures would be good to use and also how to use them, by that I mean where to use and how deep to use them in and what kind of motion to give them while casting and reeling. Another great thing would be which colors to use in a very very clear lake. Also I am open to any kind of lure not just floating. Thank you so much for your help

how to catch these largemouth bass I find everyyear that are impossible to catch in a creek? o.k. every year me and my family go fishing in a creek, in southern missouri, around the beginning of june, and every year we see these big largemouth bass, and i throw my line right out by them and they don't even hesitate to go for my bait, like it is not there, I have tried almost everything, live and artificial, top water, worms, u name it, worms aren't very successful because the perch get them first. Does anybody know how to catch these? I will not accept the idea that it is impossible, I believe if they are there, u can catch them, and there any other way to catch them without a poll that is legal? my friend fishes a lot and in tournaments and says if u can see the fish, then they can see u, and that they are smarting than we think, and that these fish know what is real and fake, and he said I wont catch them. I fail to believe that, I think I can, does anybody have a sujestion, or can anybody help me, please? thanks
How to catch the BIGGER largemouth bass in the lake/Reservoir? Ok.. I fish in the public water supplies "illegal lakes" that im not supposed to be fishing in, i dont care i still go but i dont keep any fish. Anyways these lakes are FULL of bass, but they all seem to be in the 2-3lb range, which isnt bad but i know there are GIANTS in this lake, ive seen them and even hook them but never landed. Ive caught 20+ bass over 5 pounds and a couple over 6 but nothing over 6 1/2. I live in the Northeast U.S.. Ive tried many many different baits of sizes and colors, fished during spring, fall and summer. I just CANNOT get the Huge bass to bite, any suggestions??
Which lure is best for spring Bass fishing? Okay, I need to figure out which lure is best for fishing in the spring or summer. I am aiming for catching largemouth bass, and I am a beginner at fishing. I have some other bait, Senko plastic worms. I would also like to know what kind of setup would be required for said lure, and how to set it up. I live in Maryland, and I fish along the Pocomoke River. I need to know brand and color, as well as lure type (I would prefer one that dives)
How do I catch large bass? Although I fish for largemouth bass pretty regularly, (for about 8 years now) I have yet to catch a bass bigger than two pounds. Is there something obvious I can do? I routinely catch smaller bass on plastics, spinnerbaits, rattletraps, etc. but I have NEVER caught a decent size fish. I even bought a small boat a couple years ago thinking It will surely improve my chances getting me into deeper water, but still no luck. I realize every body of water/situation is different but anyone got any pointers/tips?

largemouth bass (how to catch them)? i fish a private pond in south G.A. i cought 8 bass in the morning in late march but no luck sence then only 1 i fish often i need to know how to fish a spinner bait ! i also want to know if fishing the banks are good or should i fish the bottom?i reel a spinner fast on the top not working for me at all . the only thing i had luck with was a fake fish made of jelly.i think it was a fluke that morning thoughhaha.the pond is 15 foot deep in the center and about 200 foot by 150 maybe clear water, also inhabited by catfish and carp.
Lures that can catch small bass in clear water creeks? I fish a creek, and when it's sunny out you can see the bottom of it, and it's approximately about 8-10' deep at it's deepest. They're is Largemouth Bass in there that are 12" and i wanna know how can i catch them? I have studied them and think they are mainly feeding on bluegill. They're is a lot of cover around like fallen logs. The water is so clear you can see the bottom when it hasn't rained and the sun is out. I have caught one by fishing for bluegill with a jig and i would like to catch some more. I will be fishing with a medium-action 5'6 Shakespeare Firebird combo with a reel with 8 lb. line if it helps. (PS, I know a little about bass fishing, i know how to texas rig, wacky rig, fish a spinnerbait, and stuff, but this place is so clear, and so "skinny" that i don't know where to start.) Yea, but the bluegill was mostly what i caught with the jig. That Rebel Wee Crawfish looks kind of weird lol. It probably works, if i get it i think i like the "Stream Craw" pattern. Since I'm fishing in a stream. H & H spinner is pretty hard to find though, especially in the 1/16 oz. size which i am looking for. May i had the lures i am wanting MUST be able to be bought at Wal-Mart.
Largemouth Bass Fishing Question? Ok i have had trouble fishing bass this season i need help choosing the right lure and reeling in procedure and locating bass so help me answer the following: Well my lake is really big and it ranges from 1 foot to 10 feet in the middle. The water's temperature this week is between 75-60 right now. It is obviously Winter time. Now i have caught so much Largemouth Bass here that i lost count but over 200 100% sure of that. Now i caught them every season except Winter so what lure should i use right now and how do i reel it in and where are the fish hiding?? In Spring Buzzbaits and Spinnerbaits are beauties In Summer Soft Lures are killers In Fall Shad and Fish-style baits are beautiful i caught my biggest and most fish this season on a single day! In Winter -?!?!?!?_?!_$__$L$ What should i use??!? My rod is a 7 foot casting rod, 12-16 lb. test line. I have about 40 feet worth of line left in the reel. The weather is Partly Cloudy and there are no Obstructions whatsoever. I have a row boat i can borrow from my Neighbor if i have too maybe not today. it is 4:00 P.M local time and it has been Sunny the pass 2 days. Any Largemouth Bass fishing tips in a Florida Lake? I live on a large lake in Florida and I fish a lot on it but am not catching a lot of bass ill catch one or two one pound or two pounders but nothing bigger than that in a while. Any tips on bait, time of day, where to look for them? How do I know if theres bigger ones? lots of questions just try to help me out please. Well I have been using Gulp worms with the bullet weight and occasionally been trying some spinnerbaits but I guess I should try a larger lure. I do have a boat but maybe I should try out those deep spots more. Theres one spot in the lake where it goe from about 7 feet to 18 feet so I will try it out there.
I need some help and advice on fishing for bass, walleye, and northerns.? Okay so im going to my cabin this weekend and they have a lake over there with both largemouth and smallmouth bass, and northerns and walleye. Its mostly bass, but they have a smaller population of walleye and northern. The fishing rod I have has a bobber on it. I want to go fishing for mainly bass this weekend. So where should I go to catch bass (middle of the lake, shallow spots, near weeds, etc). Would you reccomend fishing off a dock or going on the boat and going towards the middle of the lake? what kind of bait should I use? And how should I set my fishing rod up (should I use a bobber, should I use a sinker, how many sinkers if so, etc). Also, what bait and fishing rod set up, and location is best for walleye and northerns? Thanks in advance! By the way, im not the most experienced fisherman as you can tell
How do you Fly Fish for Largemouth BASS? I see fly fisherman use very thick, bright colored line. I know that the thickness is necessary because all of the weight comes from the line itself. The only thing I am confused with is how this works for bass. I hear people always saying that the bass will not bite if the line is to thick or visible. Well, doesn't catching them on orange thick line contradict this? What lures do you use to catch them on a fly rod? Please I am very interested and any information will help. To the first answerer, and any others who think of answering the same way, I am not asking about the components of the fly rod. I want to know about the details on catching specifically BASS on them. I would also like to know about lure selection for this species and why the thick, bright colored line doesn't spook them.
how do largemouth bass get into man made ponds????? i live in a community with nothing but man made ponds and i have caught 5-6 lb. bass in them. and i dont think that they stock them because i have asked. how do they get in there to begin with. how long does it take for them to get there.. and if it helps i live in florida
how to catch smallmouth bass in southeast minnesota? i live in southeast mn, and i've only caught smallmouth in the mississippi river. i'm generally more concerned with largemouth, but smallmouth are fun, too. typically, i'll cast a rapala original floater (f-5) along the dike (which, here, are basically 20-30 feet long rock-covered slopes that run east to west) and reel it in relatively quickly toward shore. i was just wondering, where do smallmouth live? i mean, i've never seen one caught in any lake in my town, but i know they're in the mississippi main channel. also, what are some other ways i could catch them? i greatly appreciate any and all help, thanks
Bass caught in tournaments? I am an avid fisherman and I care that the fish I catch can live be caught by somebody else. So I was wondering, you ever notice when watching tournament fishing on TV, how they don't want the bass to get off, so they yank the bass out of the water and into the boat hard as they can? Well I was wondering if a fish being yanked out of the water gets more stress and is more likely to die then a fish that is gently netted or grabbed by the mouth. Oh and another thing. I caught a 4 pound largemouth the other day. It has a lot of energy when I got him out of the water and he flopped out of my hand like 3 times. Could that fish have seriously hurt himself because he looked like he kept landing on his head. I dropped him from about waist high. Good luck fishing out there!
Are largemouth bass high in Mercury? Also, if you know, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. Thanks, I've been going fishing and wanted to eat some of my catch but I've been hearing a lot about too much Mercury in Fish and how it can cause cancer.
how do you raise a largemouth bass? im gonna go catch 1 or 2 largeys about 8 inches or so... im planning to keep them in a kiddey pool about 8ft by 5ft and about 1 1/2ft high, and fill it with hose water. Am i doin it right and what are some tips
fishing for largemouth bass please help!!? i have maany questions answer as many as u can... 1. will throwing dog food in the water attract bass or other fish? what is the point. 2. when fishing in a small pond like i do. there are BIIGGG bass but i only catch them on worms. and even so the stupid blue gil steal the worms before the bass even think about biting. and my lures seem to frighten them when they hit the water? what should i do?? 3. i have many frog lures but my pond has no lillypads or above water vegetation. it is all tall seagrass that is about 2 feet shy of being on the surface. how can i catch them with little to no vegatation, plus no rocks!!? 4. i live in CT. which for those of you who dont know is in the northeast, and its summer time so any suggjestions? 5. the bass seem to be very lathargic and even shy away from worms when they are right next to there face! why is this? 6. i caugh a sunny and when i was reelign him in a 2 foot bass came shooting towards it and was going nuts. would it eat the sunny?
How do I catch fish? (bluegill, crappie, and bass preferably)? How can i catch a fish? I've gone fishing four times, 3-4 hours each, and haven't caught a single fish (not even a nibble!!). The type of fish i have in my community lake (in Virginia, if it helps) are bluegill, crappie, small and largemouth bass, channel catfish, and a few walleye. The first time, I didn't know what I was doing, so i just used a jig head with a grub tail and didn't catch anything. The second time I used worms with a hook, bobber, and sinker and still didn't catch anything. The third time I used a variety of spinnerbaits (I have a stained water lake, so i used colorado blades and indiana blades). The fourth and most recent one I first used hook, bobber, sinker, and bread then i didn't catch anything for a half hour, so then I went to the bait shop and got a dozen small minnows and used those with a hook, bobber, and sinker and still didn't have any luck. So could anyone tell me what am I doing wrong and explain how to get at least a bluegill. (and is there any way to prevent getting a catfish because I hate the way they look and I've heard they have stingers with an irritating venom) Please help me and thanks for your time. I have an 8lb line with a medium action 6-12lb rod if it helps. My community lake is not depleted, and many people around me catch a lot of fish. When is the bluegill and bass spawn times and how can I take advantage of them?
How were these bass different? I am not talking about largemouth and smallmouth. I am talking about my tournament Saturday.I caught two bass One on one side of a bridge and another on the other side and one was a lot whiter than the other. One side has weeds and the other sid also has weeds but deeper. But shouldn't they be the same color. We notice that every time we go to this lake none were striped bass or hybrids They were both largemouth just one was whiter than the other
is it safe to eat fish caught from residential lakes? we fish a man-made lake surrounded by about 100 luxury houses. it is connected to a nearby river by two canals. some people say the fish caught from it (largemouth bass, crappies and catfish) are safe to eat but some others say that, because of the chemicals that people use on the landscaping in people's backyards that can runoff into the lake, it is not safe. i've called the local county health department and they have no information. i don't see how it'd be any more harmful than eating fish from the farm ponds and sloughs here in the california central valley (which people do all the time).
small 1 inch largemouth bass in a tank with no filter or aerator? im 13 years old and i go fishing with my friend 3 or 4 times a week last week we went everyday but all of a sudden ive been catching these weird barely 1 inch largemouth bass. i thought itd be pretty sick to keep a single bass in a tank. problem is i only have one small tank with no filter and no aerator the tank is maybe 8 -10 gallons but its a very small fish will it survive? and if so how long? id also clean out the tank once a week and id feed it small goldfish (those tiny little ones) about 1 goldfish a day i think that might do it but if u have any idea about how many goldfish and how often to feed it its legal where i live alot of people are emailing me saying i scooped it out. but i assure u i didnt. i was fishing around for bluegill in this spot where me and my friend catch one about every 3 minutes. and i got my bobber started barely going down and i thought it was a small fish stealing my worm so i reeled it in and it was a tiny bass. i caught several nonstop

Largemouth Bass fishing <3 part Question..>? We have a nice size pond behind our house (South Florida). We discovered how fun fishing was a few months back and have enjoyed catching and releasing the Large Mouth Bass found in that pond. By no means are we pro's, so with the help & knowledge of the staff of our local sporting good shop we get some nice rods, some senko worms and manage to reel in about 5-8 Bass a day, the largest measuring about 23 inches. Question 1.) Lately, the past week, we have yet to reel any in? It seems like all the Bass have disappeared.. It has rained lately, but would that have an effect? Are Bass intelligent enough to "remember" the "fake" worms and start to react less? Question 2.) There are also some, rainbow looking fish that hang out right at the shallow part of the water, and hang out in these circular burrows. The never react to or lurers or worms, but does anyone know what type of fish they are? Question 3.) One night we reeled in a Gar, any advice for catching more of those? WOW!!! All These answers are extremely helpful, full of detail and packed with greatly appreciated information.. I thank all of you for taking the time to write all of this. THANK YOU!! The rainbow fish are normal sized, not minnow. They make these round burrows in the sand and are grey and when the sun reflects on them it looks rainbowish..
What is the largest Bass you have caught? And how? This is just something i would like to know...the largest bass i caught was a 5 1/2 lb largemouth. You can check our my pictures of it and my video...i caught it ice fishing. My profile for all of my lunkers are at http://mylunker.com . You should get a profile too and see if your fish are bigger than mine...
Where can I get a baby Bass? Ok, I live 15 minutes from Boston in Massachusetts. I have a 200 Gallon tank that has been cycled and has filters for a 300 gallon. I want to buy 1 bass fingerling. I will catch one but I'm not exactly sure how to catch one small enough. Where can I buy one. I don't know where the closest fish farm is so don't tell me that, please. I want a largemouth bass also.So either catch catch or buy info If you could help it would be greatly appreciated. (No sarcasm please"like with a hook") ~Brett
Do bass tend to stay near the shore or out towards the middle of a lake? There's a tiny pond that I fish near my house (largemouth bass), maybe an acre or two, but it got a little boring and repetitive so I started fishing a big reservoir. I've caught a few bass, but I can't seem to find good spots in such a huge lake. So, when I'm in my boat, should I cast towards shore or out towards the middle of the lake. Also, generally speaking how far out from shore should I be? I know about cover and structure and all, but fishing a large lake is totally new to me. Also, I mainly use crankbaits, what depth should I generally be trying to fish? Right now I'm primarily using a 3-4 ft and a 6-8 ft.
sinkers for bass fishing? i just started gettin into fishin but i'm having fun with it. theres a pond near me with alot of bluegill and largemouth bass. usually i just use bread but i was thinking of tryin nightcrawlers as bait next time. i've noticed the bluegill stay more up near the surface and the bass stay farther down. ive got a couple egg sinkers. how many should i use to get my bait farther down to catch bass and how far up from the hook should i put it? thanks!! the egg sinkers i have are 1/8
How to catch a Largemouth Bass? Ive been using plastic worms. Ive caught a few 5 pounders lately on small bluegill but nothing on artificial. Any Suggestions?
all I ever catch on spinnerbaits is northerns, and I want largemouth bass? I always hear how good spinnerbaits are for largemouth bass, but all I ever catch are northerns. I fish them at a variety of depths and rates of retrieval and let them drop sometimes (flutter down) etc. etc. but still, only ever catch northerns. not to say I don't enjoy a northern chasing my spinnerbait to the boat and scaring the hell out of me - that makes my day! but we are fishing bass. what gives? on topwater or plastic worms, I catch only maybe 10% northerns. there are a LOT of little northerns in the lakes I fish. thank you!
Why can't I catch catfish? I have recently picked up a fishing habit. I found a local pond which I discovered to be full of Largemouth Bass - the largest I have caught so far was almost 4 pounds. I have been fishing for about a month now and I have gotten quite good at catching the bass on "Ribbit" frog lures, Texas rigged worms, Carolina rigged worms, spinnerbaits, and "Rattlin Rapala" lures. Anyway, I recently found another pond which I figured may contain bass as well, so a friend and myself went up there hoping to reel in that 5 pounder! Naturally, I tried the Ribbit frog lures first because I love to see the Bass hit the lure on the top of the water. After an hour or so I had no luck, but my friend chose the "Rattlin Rapala" and to my surprise, after 2 or 3 casts he reeled in a little 1 or 2 pound Blue Catfish! I tried spinnerbaits, jigs, Texas and Carolina rigged worms, but I had nothing! During that entire time, my friend reeled in about 5 or 6 catfish - one which was just over 6 pounds!!! And all on a "Bass" fishing lure! Naturally, the next day we went down to the store to get some Catfish bait and Earthworms, and I even soaked some hot dogs in garlic! We were thinkin' we were gonna have a great day of Catfishing ahead of us. We were wrong! We didn't get a single bite on the Stinkbait or any other lure. It seems like the only thing those Catfish are interested in is "Rattlin Rapala" lures! What gives? I know there have to be some much bigger catfish in that pond. How do I catch those suckers!???
largemouth bass aquarium? whos done it? ive had a working running cichlid tank for almost three years now. i've been wanting to raise my own largemouth bass for years, but still have questions on what to do to keep the fish healthy. after catching the fish, how should i safely put him into the new tank without hurting/killing the fish? how can i keep the fish healthy and stress-free? and how big should the fish first be, and what is the best method in catching them? (minnow traps or perhaps lures) and how should my setup look?
largemouth bass care ? i just caught 2 5 inch largemouth bass and put them in my 10 gallon i need to know how to care for them the only other thing in the tank is a northern hogsucker i need help now! well i already tried feeding them earthworms and they ate so i don't think they will pass also ive had wild fish before in a 150 gallon with a 1 foot brown bullhead and its still alive!

bass fishing with live bait question? i fish in a lake nearby sometimes and i really wanna catch largemouth and smallmouth bass but never can i know there are some in there because my friend caught a huge one when he was useing worms and ive never caught one that big and he was using worm it was a one time thing but can i catch a sunfish (becuase i always do) and hook it live and have a bigger chance of catching one would they eat it? and if so how big would it have to be? could i also use bluegill? and also...ive tried everything bread worms crankbaits jigs texas rigs and the bass wont bite but im 110% sure there are THRIVING bass in there oh and ps i alway catch something there its an awesome lake i alway catch alot of bluegill and sunfish and maybe 4 huge catfish and its in arizona idk if that will change anything
How can I catch bigger largemouth bass? I fish a lot in a bass pond, and normally catch about 10-12 inch largemouth bass. My friend, who fishes in the pond says theres 4ft pike in the pond, and she has pictures of her catching really big bass. She also is curious why im not catching these bigger fish...im using the bait she recommends, which is fake black worms and leeches. I also use spinner baits, and other jigs. Any suggestions on new baits, techniques or areas to fish??? Thanks!!
What would you pay to consistently fish for and catch trophy sized largemouth bass 10lbs or more? I have a 25-acre pond that I recently emptied due to poor maintenance and an over abundance of stunted bluegill and redear sunfish. There were bass in it at one time, but because of poor security, they were removed by trespassers and poachers as "trophies". There were a total of 50 to 60 bass at most, maybe 65 or 70 with the majority of them being between 1 1/2 and 4 pounds, but several of them being between 11 and 14 pounds. I'm know there was a big female in the pond that weighed 16lbs 15oz because that's what she weighed when I released her. I will not understand how these bass did not maintain the sunfish population. The reason I ask this is because I have officially made up my mind to completely rebuild this dry 25-acre, 40-foot deep hole on my property (I have several thousand acres of land to work with thanks to a passed-on relative). I would like to increase it from the 25-acres it is now to 150-acres, possibly 200. I plan to spend an easy million on this project and would like to charge the general public to fish the pond as a catch and release lake once it is completed as a way to make some of my investment back. My idea is to stock the pond with largemouth bass and shad or shiners until they are big enough to be fed a strict diet of hatchery rainbow trout. I figure the entire rebuilding process of the pond to take a year or so to complete and I figure between 3 and 5 years for the bass to grow to a size where they can be fed the trout and another 2 to 3 years before they reach the trophy size mark of 10 pounds. Once I'm happy with what I've built and the fish are ready to be caught, I will open the place up. My question is, what would you pay to consistently fish for and catch trophy sized largemouth bass 10lbs or more? Give me some feedback on what you think I should charge. Ideas on structure would be good too.
Do largemouth bass eat corn? I swear I caught a largemouth bass with corn. I seriously don't know how either. My guess is I surprised the fish and it attacked in self defense. If you don't believe me I don't care I was just wondering why it would go after a small hook with corn. If anyone has any explanation for this I would love to know. And again if you don't believe me I seriously don't care. Oh and I was using the bait to catch bluegill.

How can i catch a trophy fish? I live in an area with a lot of streams, ponds, and the potomac river. I'm from Washington County, Maryland. I've fished a lot in the Conococheague creek, and the "hot wall" in Williamsport. I also own land along the Potomac in Falling Waters, WV. I prefer fishing in creeks because I feel that I catch a significantly greater number of fish in less time than fishing in the river. I catch a ton of striped bass and largemouth bass. I've noticed that the fish are much more responsive to a crawfish lure. The biggest fish I catch are typically 8-11". I want to start fishing in the river, but am unsure of what to do to increase my chances of catching a fish. (sometimes I can fish for hours without even a nibble) I would ideally like to catch a decent sized cat or carp. I'd really like to catch anything of decent size. I've used chicken liver soaked in garlic salt but have had absolutely no luck. Please leave any of the following: Places to fish. Lures/bait to use. Types of fish to fish for. Techniques for fishing. When to fish. Thank you very much!

how can i catch largemouth's now!!? how can i catch largemouth bass in wichita,ks during winter. Right now the temp is usually between 30 and 60 degrees, not to cold of a winter. I have no problem catching crappie using a small jig and bobber but just cant seem to catch bass, please help. I have lots of methods for warm weather (spring, summer) but now i am lost. How do I catch largemouth bass during early spring (Spawn/Pre-spawn)? I'm getting ready to really get back into the sport now that the weather's beginning to warm up again. I only started seriously fishing last year, and I used to know this, but I've forgotten quite a bit. Any tips or techniques that have worked well for you? I'd really appreciate it. Some specific questions I can think of: 1) What kind of bait works best? Senko type worms, jigs, spinners, live(which makes me feel lazy)? 2) The Bass will be situated in more shallow water than in the summer and winter, correct? 3) I spent a good amount of money on some great braided line recently (something like 4/20 in terms of weight, I think) Will this work alright (with either mono or fluoro leaders)? For the record, the braid is green-ish. Oh, and by the way, I live in California, District 4. Thanks in advance!
How to catch Peacock Bass in South Florida? Well I was fishing in a lake in Broward county and at the end of the lake, the water was shallow and there was a large concentration of peacock bass there. I threw out worms and lizards but only managed to catch a few largemouth. I tried a crankabit for a good 2 hours, it got chased once by a peacock bass but it didnt bite it, what is the best lures/baits to use for peacock bass in low water at the banks.
