Sea Eagle 6 for Bass Fishing? What trolling motor and how long do they last? I have always wanted a boat. I am a die hard bass fisherman and the only fisherman in my entire family. I have taught myself everything I know, bought all my lures by myself and have managed to become far knowledgeable. Now I would like to move on to boats. Especially now, I am only 14 and cannot afford those 14k bass boats. I have looked into sea eagle fishing boats. I have been looking into the Sea Eagle 6 as it is perfect for one person. It is $400 with the dream package which includes seats other stuff and the motor mount as well as flooring to stand on. Sound good to you? Also, what type of trolling motor should I get? I plan to fish small bodies? Also, how long does a standard trolling motor battery last? Appreciate the help. Please I need some sea eagle owner's opinions.
Florida Bass fishing problems? Hello, I live right near a lake in Florida(largest lake in my county) and I go there occasionally to try and fish off a dock and I never seem to catch any bass or any type of fish but I know fish are in there because I see them but what am I doing wrong? Oh and also if anyone knows where I can get a cheap small bass boat or something that would be great. Im using a lure I bought in sports authority and I try to move around near the area but I never catch nothing D:
how different is small mouth bass from large mouth bass fishing? well i am a large mouth bass fisherman and know alot about it basikly i think of myself as a semi pro but since i no longer live near the lakes i always fished and live near many local lakes with one public access and one spot to fish from shore (im a shore fisherman, i own no boats) the rest of the lake access are from houses along the entire lake so i asked a techer about spots to fish and he pointed me towards the river near our area for small mouth. most of my lures are for large mouths like 5-8 inch senkos 4 inch hard swimbaits and medium to large crankbaits like rapalas and medium sized ratl-traps bass spinnerbaits and buzzbaits and inline spinners, are these still good for small mouths? there are a few largemouths in the river but not enough that i can target them only. so are the lures i have still work? im basikly asking what diference can i expect with lures and technique of fishing shuld i expect besides the fish and the fight they give. ARTIE ur a pissed off guy who looks for people to yell at. im not an idiot i know all about how weather and water clearity and all those crap and how it effects fishing i learned it all from research and youtube in just a year and that was wen i hadnt fished for years and i was only 14 and wen i could finaly drive myself to go fish and targetting only largemouth i was very succcessful because of how much time i spent learning about LARGEMOUTH BASS but small mouth are different and i strayed away from them because were i fish the only way to get smallies was from boat to get to the deep areas of the lake and other than that here in MN not EVERYSINGLE lake has smallies you need to find lakes with a decent smallie population to actually target them. you just hate other fishermen that may show more skill than you. i know i was being somewhat cocky but who dosnt get cocky when it comes to fishing semi pro was to show i am not a beginner but not pro just that i kno wat im doing
What bass fishing technique works best for you in small pond (no boat)? I've been fishing at this lake every other day for awhile. Matter fact alot of my friends fishs it two just as much. So far i've only seen/heard of maybe 5 keeper size bass being caught and a few small ones. Two big fish was snagged so that doesn't count. Thing is there are many people and different techniques being tried and it's rare a fish is caught. I dont see how the can turn down rapalas because is so easy to fish but I never get hits on them. I had a couple on worms and lizards but maybe I'm not presenting them right. I dont have a dept finder but walking on the docks and dropping my line down in many parts I've found that this pond is only 6" deep (so it seems) I think is best to try fish close to the top with spinners and rapalas most of the time but it's not working too good. The weather changes patterns alot too but I'm out in all of it. Trying differant techniques. These bass are smart or just not biting in anything. I can thow a bait on a bed, step back and still nothing.

Why are bass boats sparkly? Why are small out-board fishing boats painted with glittery paint? Do they attract fish? Boat buyers? Boat buyers' wives?
What are some good baits to use for small mouth bass? we go to this lake up in north east mississippi called pickwick same place JP coleman is at. we do alot of fishing there, but never seem to get any small mouth bass to the boat. Its alway either a large mouth or a cat fish. Could you tell me some good baits to use for landing a small mouth?
bass fishing in a small lake? i ride my bike to this nearby lake, its about 5-7 acers. they sides all the way round is COVERS in lilypads, its a private lake but my dads friends with a guy there. Anyways i can take a paddle boat, (i do every day) and always go for bass, the water is pretty clear, the habbitat in the lake should be bass paradise. i do see bass but not nearly as much as i would expect. i am using plastic worms every color the best ones are all dark colors. i am and experienced fisherman, but a beginner bass fishermen. ive fished thier for three days, i think i lost 6 fish but it might have been weeds or small blue gills nibbling on the worm, i am setting the hook as soon as i get a bite, i only caught 1 bass though, it was 17 in'. anyways. i think i should be doing better since i only caught one bass in three days, tell me if im doing anything wrong, what lures to use, how to use them, or if i just simply need practice. i just fish on the edge of the lily pads and i stand up in the back of the boat, casting and reeling. p.s. the lake is FILLED will blue gills and are LOADED with big ones to, i caught three 7-9 in of em' all on plastic worms, but i want bass. PLEASE HELP
Fishing Boat... V-Hall? I found a boat in my local newspaper... I've been looking for a small fishing boat and it has everything for cheap but its a V-Hall. Would that be ok for bass fishing? It has a trolling motor and gas motor.
Trolling motor battery? I just bought a Minn Kota 36 # thrust Trolling Motor and I plan on using it on my small bass fishing boat. I want to use it as the primary motor, meaning I wont have a gas motor. My boat is only 9' so I didnt bother getting a large motor. So now I am wondering what kind of battery should I get? I would like it to last from sun up to sun down. I have a really nice battery charger made for deep cell batteries already.
Is a small boat boat worth it for fishing South Florida canals? I was thinking about getting a Basstender 10.2 boat with a small outboard/trolling motor. It has 2 swivel seats and an aerated livewell. My friend were thinking it would be a good rig for catch some bass/tarpon/snook in our local canals. We would buy used off of craigslist. Do you think this is a good idea? Advice? Thanks.
How do I catch large bass? Although I fish for largemouth bass pretty regularly, (for about 8 years now) I have yet to catch a bass bigger than two pounds. Is there something obvious I can do? I routinely catch smaller bass on plastics, spinnerbaits, rattletraps, etc. but I have NEVER caught a decent size fish. I even bought a small boat a couple years ago thinking It will surely improve my chances getting me into deeper water, but still no luck. I realize every body of water/situation is different but anyone got any pointers/tips?
Tips on lake fishing for bass? well i really havent been fishing on lakes. only ocean salt water. i live in maryland and i just wanted some tips on large or small mouth bass fishing or any type of lake fish, tips on what type of artificial bait or real bait i can use to catch these fish and a good reccomended fishing line i can add to my rod (uglystik) i dont own a boat and that how most people catch thier fish becuase they go in the middle of lake and fish so will that be a problem?? please help me to get started
Kayak bass fishing. What boat do I need? I,m thinking about buying a used kayak for bass fishing on the river.I,ve recently started doing this and I have to say ,it,s addicting.I have a 16' canoe that I,m using now and I will paddle it about 2 to 3 miles upstream and fish my way back.My success has been terrific catching a minimum of twenty bass both spotted and largemouth.I don,t mind the paddling because it is great exercise but it really cuts into my fishing time and I can only go so far to make it back in time.Is a kayak going to be much faster?I,m looking a a 15' ocean kayak but I,m not sure if this is what I really need.I,m concerned with the size.Is it to big or should I look into something smaller.I need enough room to keep some fish alive in a cooler and have storage for tackle and extra clothes drink cooler etc.I would like to throw it in the back of my truck and carry it that way without buying a trailer.Any advice would be appreciated.
Canoe or Jon Boat? Take a kid fishing..? Well Im stuck between a canoe or 10' jon boat. I mainly fish small creeks and medium to small lakes. Thats just me, but I will most likely have company for a few trips, got female friends with kids and absent or not so good fathers. Now canoe..I hear is portable lightweight and I can just paddle around no problem...but got kids coming so stability is important Jon boats heavy, need a motor(not sure on those specifics) but stable. Now Im only 20and college student so big bass boats an such are way out of my limit. This seems to be a use debate lol

Fishing supplies and Bass fishing help? Alright, so I am an avid spin-reel fisherman. The main game fish I go for is Trout, but am trying to move onto Bass (possibly Northern Pike in the future). I use a lot of basic stuff to fish for Trout, but what would I need for bass? Here's a list of equipment I use: Removable Split Shot (Medium) 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 Bell Weights Eagle Claw Snells (Sizes: 12, 8, 6, 4) Berkely Powerbait (Rainbow, Turbo Dough, Sherbert, ect.) Roe Line (Based on 3 Rods: 6lb Test, 8lb Test, 15lb Test (for trolling) all Trilene Dark Green) Lures (Thomas Cyclone, trying out Kastmaster, Jake's Lure, Panther Martin Spinners, Mepps Spinners, Deep Runners, Rattlers, Poppers, and sometimes Rapala) Large, Medium, Small Canadian Nightcrawlers Floats and Bobbers (don't use often) Swivels Line Type: Monofilament (I have Flourocarbon but haven't used it yet) Eagle Claw Nitro Eggs (haven't caught jack with yet :/) Green Label Salmon Eggs SO, what can I change or use more for Bass? I'm only 15, so I don't have like a boat or things like that, though I do try to use professional sources. Any accurate answer will work, and be honest. Thanks.
Is it possible for bass to never reach the 12" length? Please read this explanation:There is a man made pond that was once a nice little fishing spot for baby bass and catfish. Now too many people have seen us fish it and it has become pretty crowded with people who don't respect catch and release. The pond has been holding fish for about two or three years now and the bass have not grown one bit. They are all small enough to grip completely with one hand around the width of them. What factors do you think are making these bass not grow at all? Do you think that there are still a few big ones in there? If so, how would I go about locating those ones since they must be spooked. The place is too small for a large boat really but paddle boats can fit comfortably so depth finders are out of the picture. I don't think there is really alot of structure and cover in the pond either. If there is any good sized ones where would they be holding in a place like this. And if there isnt any, then why? Is there a way I can change this?
Fishing in Berrien County Michigan Preferably in Harbor Country? My family owns house in Union Pier Michigan. Last year my grandfather gave us his boat that he kept in Peoria IL. It's a 17 foot bass boat with a Johnson 70 horsepower outboard motor. The house is right on the lake. The boat is too small for Lake Michigan but too big for the Galien River. We currently fish on the St. Joseph river, we launch in Buchanan Michigan about 20 miles away but the river is damed off in a lot of places and all we really catch there is carp and bluegills. We are looking for a river that is big enough for our boat that is of dscent length?

I need some help and advice on fishing for bass, walleye, and northerns.? Okay so im going to my cabin this weekend and they have a lake over there with both largemouth and smallmouth bass, and northerns and walleye. Its mostly bass, but they have a smaller population of walleye and northern. The fishing rod I have has a bobber on it. I want to go fishing for mainly bass this weekend. So where should I go to catch bass (middle of the lake, shallow spots, near weeds, etc). Would you reccomend fishing off a dock or going on the boat and going towards the middle of the lake? what kind of bait should I use? And how should I set my fishing rod up (should I use a bobber, should I use a sinker, how many sinkers if so, etc). Also, what bait and fishing rod set up, and location is best for walleye and northerns? Thanks in advance! By the way, im not the most experienced fisherman as you can tell
would wal_mart fishing poles work? i wanna go fisihing i will buy a $17 shake speare and a $40 rihno rod will it catch anything? the 17 dollor is an open face and the rihno is closed and are closed faces good for small basses and pan fish? oh and how do you fish sitting on a dock? i dont have a boat ill be sitting on a dock
Fuel efficiency of outboard motors for fish/ski boats? I got a 16' bass boat this summer and I am astounded at how much gas it uses. I use 4-5 gallons everytime I go out fishing for a couple of hours and my motor is a 1990 Mercury 115 (2 stroke). I am considering getting a new boat and am wondering about fuel economy. My guess would be that smaller engines will burn less fuel and that newer engines (2000 or newer) will be more fuel efficient than older engines. However, I want to put my assumptions to you experts. 1) Will lower horsepower outboards get better "mileage" than bigger ones? 2) Will newer engines get better mileage than older ones? 3) Do 2 stroke engines getter better mileage than 4 stroke engines? Any other insights that you have would be appreciated?
Is The Bayliner 197 A Good Boat For Fishing/Watersports? Ok just wanted to get some opinions here, Is the 2008 Bayliner 197 deck boat with a fishing pack (Trolling Motor, Depthfinder, and Livewell) a good boat for fishing/watersports? It will be used on Wheeler Lake in Rogersville, Alabama put in from First Creek near Wheeler Dam. Mostly used for catfish and bass fishing probably about 60% fishing/40% tubing and skiing. When we are fishing it will mostly be just my dad and I. When we are tubing/skiing/riding it will be 4 or 5 of us. We currently have a Alumacraft Lunker 165 but find it small for when we bring the whole family instead of just my dad and I. The boat has a 190 horsepower engine and it's max speed is 45 mph with a 16 inch draft. Does this sound good? The water we're usually in is at least 10 feet deep when we're bass fishing about 40-50 catfishing but it is more than 100 ft. deep in some spots where we would catfish and troll in mid summer
Where do the big bass hide? When we go fishing we usually just cast close to shore and reel back into the boat. We get quite a few smaller bass (like one pounds) but we really want to catch some bigger ones. I've tried casting out into the deep part of the lake and never even get a bite. Where do you cast to find the big bass?
Good fishing spot in sacramento? Im going fishing today and I really need a good spot to fish. I don't have a boat. I have all the equipment for big and small fish. I really dont care if its Catfish, Carp, or Bluegills. I just want to catch something. I want to catch bass, striper but it takes forever to get a bite thats a decent size. Any help will do. Thanks....what bait

I'm 13 and live in long island new york. today we went fishing and i caught 3 ok sized blue fish. i wanted to know and good location i can go to (without a boat) to get different types of fish and larger sized ones. is there bass fishing location. and also i wanted to know what is a cheap priced rod that is small to buy. mine is over 10 feet (got as gift) so i need a smaller one. i want the location to be saltwater but fresh will bo okay. my family still needs to get licenses
First time fishing what do i do? Help with finding the right Fishing pole? I want to purchase a pole for a gift, but there are to many options i don't understand. The person will be fishing Lake Erie and the Niagara river from the shore and a boat. also some smaller lakes in Canada and New York (bass i asume). looking to spend $200 on a rod and reel. can you help?
Whats the best way to catch fish? My dad and I have been fishing for the past 2 months every weekend in the evening on our boat. The lake we fish at is a very quiet lake. There are large and small mouth bass, crappe, sunfish, catfish, and carp everything in the lake is either good size huge, or tiny. What is the best way to catch the big ones (bass, catfish, carp). We've been skunked everytime.
Weight capacity of a boat? I bought a small boat designed for ponds that weighs 130 pounds. It's weight capacity is 475 pounds. It will mostly be just me fishing on it which wont be an issue because I weigh around 180. However, I would like to go on it with my dad and together we will be pushing that weight capacity. Also, I got a 15 pound anchor. I don't know how much a trolling motor and its battery weighs. Plus we fish for bass and catfish a lot, both of which can be pretty hefty when big. So I was wondering what the weight capacity of a boat is. Is that when it will sink? Or is it when it just becomes immobile? Also, how conservative are the weight capacity estimates? So, I guess my real question here is: Can my dad and I go fishing on this boat?
Fishing Big Bear Lake? We will be going fishing this summer at Big Bear Lake, maybe in the month of July. We visit Big Bear often, but we have never fished there. Also, I have only been deep sea fishing (and the last time I went was over a year ago!)--so basically, I know absolutely nothing about lake fishing! I need some help and guidance! Okay, Big Bear provides a list of fish that are in the lake: black crappie, blue catfish, bluegill, carp, channel catfish, large-mouth bass, rainbow trout, and small-mouth bass. They also provide recommendations on what bait or lures to use for each fish. Now, we'll be fishing from the shore, since we'll be taking my autistic nephew, who is afraid of being on a boat. If we're fishing from the shore, what sort of fish should we go for? What sort of bait and lures would work best? Also, do you use weights while lake fishing, or do you use bobbers? What size weights do we need? What size hooks should we use? I am really clueless, and I want to get a headstart on my research for fishing Big Bear Lake. We obviously won't be pros, and I'm sure we won't know what we are doing half the time, but we are looking to have some fun, and catching a few fish wouldn't exactly damper our spirits! Any advice or guidance would be so much appreciated!
Doing research for a new warm water fishing rig.? I've been all over Bass Pro and Cabala's website researching rod and reel combo's. To much information. Here is how I fish, tell me what your choice would be. 1. I catch and release 99% of the time. 2. I fish maybe three times a week during the warm weather months. 3. 95% small lakes. No boat used. 4. All varieties of panfish from 1" Green Perch to 8" Bluegill and12" Crappie. 5. Bass, large mouth, small mouth, and rock. with 80% being under 15". 6. Channel and Bullhead catfish from 1 to 6 pound range. 7. I use live bait 70% of the time. Night Crawlers, Wax worms, Crickets, and any other bug their biting on. Artificial stuff used are spinners and worms. 8. I fish for the fight, I need action, action, and more action. I don't want to just set the hook and reel the fish in without a fight. 9. I'm thinking ultralight. With so many choices what's the good stuff and what's junk? If you were fishing like this what would you use? Chad you and Fisher_King hit the nail on the head. Fisher_King I ordered the UL combo you suggested for BP today. I'm going with the 6lb test version. Ought to handle most fish I catch. Chad I think I'll try your setup also. My neighbor has a boat that we lake fish with for Bass. Thanks again, there is so much stuff to sort through it hard to tell the good stuff from the junk.
Game Wardens? How many people should have gotten fined by them, ive been caught by them twice. first time, we had two small bass not enough life jackets, not a whistle or blo horn, having a cast net on the boat with fishing poles, the boat wasnt registered. but he didnt notice that the guy on the shore was fishing for bass with a bream attatched to his pole and that the trailer wasnt didnt have a tag on it. the second time, we didnt have any life jackets or a whistle and about 4 peopel didnt have fishing license, and everybody except 2 people was drunk, oh and my uncle told him that he cuts all the trout lines that go into the lake and we had a trout line out in the day time, so what kind of stories do yall have about game wardens?
Would you hire this guy? A young fellow from the east coast moves to Calgary and goes to a big "everything under one roof" department store looking for a job. The manager says, "Do you have any sales experience?" The kid says, "Yeah, I was a salesman back home in Newfoundland ." Well, the boss liked the kid so he gave him the job. "You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did.." His first day on the job was rough but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the boss came down "How many sales did you make today?" The kid says, "One." The boss says, "Just one? Our sales people average 20 or 30 sales a day. You're going to have to improve considerably or look for another job. How much was the sale for?" The kid says, "$112,237.64." The boss says, "$112,237.64. What the hell did you sell?" Kid says, "First I sold him a small fish hook. Then I sold him a medium fish hook. Then I sold him a larger fish hook. Then I sold him a new fishing rod. Then I asked him where he was going fishing and he said out at the lake in BC, so I told him he was gonna need a boat, so we went down to the boat department and I sold him a new bass boat. Then he said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the automotive department and sold him that new Ford pick-up. I asked him how long he was going to be out at the lake and after he said 5 or 6 days I took him down to the RV department and sold him a slide-in camper for the truck." The boss said, "A guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a boat, a truck and a camper?" Kid says, "No, he came in here to buy a box of tampons for his wife and I said, 'Well, your weekend's shot, you might as well go fishing'.
What type of fishing rod/reel combo would be best? I'm going fishing this summer and I need to buy a rod/reel combo. I haven't fished since I was kid. Today I was looking to buy a rod and everything is a little complicated. So, if I wanted to freshwater fish, off a bank or boat, possibly catching catfish, bass, and anything smaller, what rod/reel should I buy as far the specs? 4foot? 5foot? 6foot? What type of line? 2-4lbs? 4-8lbs or something like that? I already know I'll get a spinning real. What's the number one brand of fishing gear? And I don't quite remember how to set up the rod...the hook, bobber, weight so is there a quick guide that somebody could lead me to?
Is my son too young to do this? My ex wants to take our son bass fishing. My son is only 2 1/2 and has never been on a boat. My ex said he will be safe - they are going on a small lake and my son will have his life jacket on.
Have a leak in my fishing boat, what is the best stuff to seal the bought and where can I purchase it? Thanks? Its a small leak, but really hard to pin point, but over a course of a day, the water fills up enough ot get your feet somewhat wet. Its just a little 14 ft, bass tracker that is in great shape, but its almost 15 years old but only used 2 or 3 times a year. I've banged all the rivets too make sure they were in properly, but the leak may be coming from one of them that needs to be sealed, any suggestions would help and I will definelty try them, thanks.

Striped Bass And Blue Fish Fishing In The Rain? I'm going to the Chesapeake Bay next week to go fishing. I fish from the shore (as I don't own a boat or anything) and instead of sticking with the same old perch, spot fish, sting rays, and small rock fish and blue fish, I'd like to try for the big ones. It's suppose to rain though.. Will that effect my fishing, especially since I'm on the shore (regardless of me fishing during high tide)? Any tips? Thank you!
im going white bass fishing and need help.? im taking my dad out on my boat in ohio and were going white bass fishing. it is august 3 and were going next week and its about 83 degrees everyday. i have never been white bass fishing and im not sure what exactly to use beside the fact that i know there feeding on small shad. can my truck pull this boat? My truck is a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, 3.7ltr v6, reg cab, RWD, manual trans, 215 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque and 3800 max tow when properly equip. Ok well I really want a fishing boat. like a small fresh water bass boat like from nitro or tracker. nothing big but it will prbably have a max weight between 2000-3000lbs probly on the lower side of that. Anyway, would my truck be able to tow that out of the water after a day fishing. with coolers n gear n a wet guy. what if i turbo it? i really like the truck and dont want to have to buy a new one to get the boat because that would just be 2 new things n i dont think my wife would go for that.
How come Obama & Janet Napolitano are not saying anything about Americans ambushed by Mexican gunmen on boats? Following the murder of a U.S. citizen boating on Falcon Lake, Texas law enforcement agencies are advising visitors to stay away from the Mexican side of the popular lake while they are intensifying their investigation of a crime that angered the nation. “The Zapata County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department are telling boaters on Falcon Lake to stay on the United States side of the lake and not venture into Mexican waters,” said a statement released yesterday by the Texas DPS.Fishermen are still advised to stay as far away as possible from any of the Argos-type fishing boats typically used as fishing vessels by Mexican fishermen. These boats have a large prow, a small outboard motor without a cowling and no identification numbers on the hull,” officials stated. Mexican pirates trolling the waters of the U.S.-Mexico border lake shot and killed a tourist while his wife escaped a hail of bullets and raced her Jet Ski back to American soil. The incident has renewed calls for federal action by border security advocates Search and rescue teams patrolled the U.S. side of Falcon Lake this weekend searching for the body of Colorado tourist David Michael Hartley, 30, whose wife, Tiffany Hartley, told police he was shot in the back of the head Thursday after being ambushed by gunmen on boats. The Texas Department of Public Safety announced during a press conference that Hartley was believed to have been killed but his body had not been found. The gunmen are suspected Mexican pirates who prowl Falcon Lake, a favorite spot for water-skiing and bass fishing. There have been five previously reported pirate attacks on that lake this year. The shooting has led Texas officials to warn American boaters to use caution on the 60-mile lake, in addition to issuing its initial warning following three pirate attacks. Although many Americans are outraged over this latest border incident, President Barack Obama and his Administration did not comment on the vicious attack on American citizens as well as the unbridled assault on Americans in general. During a press conference held by Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, there was not one word about this unprovoked attack on U.S. citizens.http://www.examiner.com/public-safety-in-national/investigation-of-mexican-pirates-killing-of-american-tourist-intensifies
can you help me solve this linear programming problem? The Lakeside Boatworks is planning to manafacture three types of molded fiber glass recreational boats-a fishing (bass) boat, a ski boat, and a small speedboat. The estimated selling price and variable cost for each type of boat are summarized in the following table. Boat Variable Cost Selling Price Bass $ 12,500 $23,000 Ski $ 8,500 $18,000 Speed $ 13,700 $26,000 The company has incurred fixed costs of $2,800,000 to set up its manufacturing operation and begin production. Lakeside has also entered into agreement with several boat dealers in the region to provide a minimum of 70 bass boats, 50 ski boats, and 50 speed boats. Alternatively, the company is unsure of what actual demand will be, so it has decided to limit production to no more than 120 of any one boat. The company wants to determine the number of boats that it must sell to break even while minimizing its total variable cost. A. Formulate a linear programming model for this problem.
How to find the fishing holes in the middle of a lake and target bigger bass!? I live on a semi small lake (about 1 mile of shorline all around) and ive been bass fishing this lake for a few years now. there is no structure or vegetation in this lake due to carp that keep the lake clean so it looks nice so its basically a semi sandy bottom for what i know of. I fish off a paddle boat and dont have a fish finder. The problem is that this lake is not overfished at all but has tons of small bass. On a good morning fishing from 7 to 9 i can catch 12 plus bass all weighing less than a pound. When I catch a good bit of bass in one time i usually dont fish the lake for a week or so so the lake doesnt get overfished because im basically the only one that fishes it seriously. I know I need to use bigger lures but thats not the problem. The problem is that i know there is some kind of hole or structure in the middle of the lake somewhere where all the big bass are hiding, I just want to find out any secrets to targeting these holes without a fish finder. Ive talked to older neighbors that used to fish this lake 12 years ago and they caught nothing but 5, 6 pound bass and the biggest weighing 12lb. The neighbor that I talked to still thinks the lake is full of the bigger bass but they have plenty to feed on due to all the half a pound bass that inhabit the lake. Ive used live bait of different kinds and caught a few 2 pounders but Im more of a tournament bass fishing person and am not interested going the live bait way so if you have some kind of idea to target where the hell these bass are hiding please let me know. thanks
Is this an okay rig for drift fishing for catfish.? Okay so Im a poor man. Im looking into buying a cheap flatbottom aluminum plain jane used john boat. Im going to be using it for drift fishing for catfish. I have been watching drift fishing videos on youtube and i was wondering if i could do i without a trolling motor. (Just paddle slowely around in some coves) I noticed that you have to have rod holders. For rod holders do you think it would be okay to weld some cheap ones on there from walmart? Then if i ever wanted to take them off i would just grind them off. Finally I surely aint got the money to buy no fishfinder so would i be alright without one. This is only a tempory rig because i plan on getting some kind of small bass boat once i get me a nice job. Thanks.
what type of fishing rod and reel should I buy? I am really going to take up fishing this year. I plan on getting a Jon Boat and some new gear. I never fished like this before. When I was younger I use to go almost everyday for a few summers. However I stopped. I rather fish off a boat than shore. So that's why I am going to purchase a small boat. Anyways, back to my question. I want to by a new rod and reel. Any suggestions. I have no Idea what to get. I plan on going bass fishing maybe use some spinner bait and some live bait as well. I am open to try a bait casting reel or open reel. None of the closed reels. I know back when I was younger the setup to get was a shimano . Any advise to what reel action, size rod etc..... Any help would be great especially from serious anglers.... Thanks
Iv been fishing for quite some time at westbranch state park in ohio, And I use small-medium minnows? I must be doing something worng though becuase I dont seem to ever catch any bass only small trout and small to medium sized crappie the biggest being about 11 inches, Iv tried going at night time in our boat use catfish bait those little dried up pellets and letting my line drag and also tried using shad the same way you would think id get lucky and get something to bite, maybe theres a special way the line has to be baited???? fishing in the wrong spots or something??? would love any help anyone is able to give me, I love fishing and its jsut a little disapointing crappie is fun to catch but I want somethign that puts up a fight like a nice sized bass.
I want to get into fishing, but don't know where to start? I'm 21. I'm looking into buying a truck and buying a small bass boat. I grew up fishing with my grandpa and i'm really interested in bass fishing, small or large mouth. It's been years since i've really went fishing out on a boat or anything like that and I have no clue where to start or what kind of rod and tackle box to buy/build. Any advice on where to start? I know i'll have to find a place to fish and people to go with me that are interested in it too. I'm really just looking for more hobbies as i'm getting older, and i really dont wanna be cooped up playing call of duty my whole life. Planning to bass fish in Triad area of North Carolina. I know, I know. I'm not old, I just mainly meant I'm moving into manhood and looking to try new hobbies, and fishing's always been fun to me.
Small Boston Whaler = Lake Fishing Boat? I have an 8 or 9 foot basic non center console Boston Whaler in pretty good condition. I want to turn it into a fishing boat. I would like it to be able to handle a large lake. I already have a motor and a trolling motor for it, but I want to transform it into a true fishing boat. Do you think it would work pretty well? As in fish, I mean largemouth bass and hybrids (stripers). If you do think it would work pretty well, what are some things I could add to it?? (It is completely bare of everything except a live well and two bench like seats in the middle of the boat)
Are boat lights required for my boat? I have a super small fishing boat. It seats 2, and its run by an electric motor connected to a car battery. In order to put it on the lake, is it required to have white, red, and green lights? Heres a picture of my boat to give you an idea of what it looks like. Just add a small electric motor to the back. POLL: Which lake should I choose to go bass fishing at? Im going out fishing this weekend to practice for my tournament next weekend and want to practice at one of these 3 lakes. I'll give you a resons why I should go and reasons why I shouldn't go of each lake and you guys choose which u think is the best. All lakes in NJ and Im fishing off land. 1.) Cooper River- Should-This is where the tournament is taking place next weekend and where I have had some promising results last year in a boat. I got one bass about 3lbs and another about 1 and half pounds. I know of spots that have helped us in the past Shouldn't- There isn't much shoreline to fish in the spots I've found to be good. I've been there before on shoreline and didn't catch anything. I've only done good in the boat. I always do bad in the tournament when I fish the lake the week before the tournament. 2.) Stewarts Lake Should- Home lake. I've fished that place my whole life and I know where the fish hang out at. I've came in 1st, 2nd and 3rd within 6 years. with only one tournament a year. I've caught my biggest bass there and I seem to get a bite everytime I got there. I know the lake like the back of my hand. Shouldn't- It has turned off the past few years and I haven't seem to get them in the spots they were. The fishing has turned off. Alcyon lake- Should- I've heard people in my school talk about it. It has some nice bass in it and it is smaller than the other two. I've seen some pictures of some nice bass out of there. Shouldn't- I've been there once and I have had only one bite so it was promising to me. Which lake? Doesn't matter Im just taking a poll

Help with fishing gift ideas? I'm looking for some unique fishing gift ideas for my boyfriend of seven years. I feel like I've bought him so many fishing related things, I'm having trouble getting some more ideas. He always wants more fishing stuff! I fish with him all the time, but I'm not into fishing as much as he is. He mostly fishes fresh water (no fly fishing though), but he does salt water fishing as well. We have both a fresh water fishing boat and a larger saltwater fishing boat. He doesn't need any rods or reels. If it helps, we fish all through New England, mostly in lakes, and also in Long Island Sound mostly around NY, CT, & RI. I'd appreciate any ideas.. they don't have to be expensive or anything! If anyone could also recommend a good fishing cookbook or any fishing magazines (he already gets bassmaster), that would be great too! Even suggestions for home decor would be great. I found these small bass cabinet knobs for when we redid the bathroom & he loved them. Thanks! He already has two boats. Both with fish finders, gps, etc.. Gift certificates? Seriously? So boring! That is my LEAST favorite thing to get! No thought in it at all.

Beginner questions about fishing? Small Bass Fishing -Do fish go away when it rains? -What's the best type of lure to use from a boat and casting towards shore near bushes? -Can lures go bad? I have some in my box that have lost color and aren't 'fresh' like they were when new. -Are worms with no tail trash? -How straight should the lure be with hook? Sometimes I get the hook in crooked and it pokes out the side of the lure. -What is this lure used for: It's like a fly fishing lure, but it has a metal tongue and 1 tri-hook.
Questions about fishing (Long, but please help, 10 points for best answer)? Okay. I have a long one again. 1) What is the best bait and weight of test line to use for Kokanee fishing? In the lake I'm going to, they tend to be situated in very deep water, so I'm using a dropshot rig, and I'm just wondering what bait and line to use. Right now I have 15lb mono on it, for the whole rig. 2) What weight line should be used for trout fishing? I'm going to be using mainly inline spinner baits, and right now I have about 4 or 5lb line on my spool. Does that sound right or should I adjust? 3) In relation to question one, approximately how long should it take for a 3oz drop weight to reach 40ft depth, or deeper? I'm sure there's some math that I could use to figure this out, but I really dont feel like it right now. Sue me. 4) Recommend me some generally good lures and plastic baits that can be used for any of these types of fish: Bass, Trout, Steelhead, Panfish, Kokanee, Carp(I know theyre shit to eat but they're fun.) Catfish. I'm going into the city soon so I'll be stocking up on everything. 5) What is the best way to store fish that you want to keep while fishing from a small boat where you can't fit an ice chest or anything? I have stringers, would it be best to attach one end to the grab line (Yes, I'm using an inflatable boat, but it is made for fishing) and just attach the fish to the clips, through the gills and let them lay in the water until I go back to shore? 6) What is the best way to catch catfish during the daytime? That's about it. Sorry for being unorganized and having so many questions. I'm just pretty new to fishing, and I dont have anyone to ask. Thanks in advance, so so much.
Fishing shoes? HELP!? My husband is a fanatical fisherman. He fishes both fresh (bass, perch, etc) and salt water(striped bass, black fish, fluke, etc), although his favorite fish is definitely the small mouth bass. He has his own "fleet" of boats for different kinds of fishing. Anyway, his birthday is coming up in March and he has made a specific request. He wants shoes that he can jump in the water with that also completely cover the top of his feet. He's terrified of getting a hook caught there as the area is very sensitive, so complete coverage is necessary. He used to just wear a pair of waterproof sandals, but he's getting more cautious now. I need something that will not fall apart after being completely submersed several times. They need to have great grips for walking on wet rocks and preferably won't mark up the floor of our home. Any suggestions? I was leaning towards these: http://www.ems.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3890536 What do you think?
