Want to buy a bass boat that cant sink, what brand and how much? Last summer me and two friends went fishing down in the everglades and took my old Bass tracker. Its a good boat but what I didnt know was that if its shot full of holes that thing will sink and you cant even get to the bottom to plug them up until you get back to the dock. A dang ole snake fell out of a low hanging tree while we were easing along and wouldnt you know that idiot ex brother inlaw of mine jumped up and pulled a 38 out of his belt and emptied it into the bottom of my boat trying to hit that blasted snake (which he didnt). We all almost crapped our pants jumping around running from bullets and the snake. By then the boat had drifted out into the river and was taking on water. No one wanted to get down off the seats but we tried to plug the holes but couldnt get the flooring up and she went down like a bag of hammers. Then we were in the water with the snake. What a weekend. Do you think anyone else in the world has troubles like I do?

Question about what vehicle would be best to buy for the following criteria? We want to get a second vehicle for taking short fishing/camping trips. *Want to spend about $5000 *SUV-type vehicle *Can pull a 17-18' foot Bass Tracker boat How old of a vehicle do you think we are looking at, and how many miles do you think we should expect to be on it? We're pretty open to all makes of SUV-type vehicles but are not interested in a pickup. I'd appreciate any input or ideas - thanks!
Is $3000 a good deal for a 1999 Bass Tracker Pro Team 165? It is a 16 ft boat with trolling motor fish finder trailer, 25 hp mercury.. No cover. Is this a good first boat? I'm a 20 yr old fisherman/college student so $3000 is a lot of money for me. Is this a good deal?? I live in MN and fish primarily for muskie.
Have a leak in my fishing boat, what is the best stuff to seal the bought and where can I purchase it? Thanks? Its a small leak, but really hard to pin point, but over a course of a day, the water fills up enough ot get your feet somewhat wet. Its just a little 14 ft, bass tracker that is in great shape, but its almost 15 years old but only used 2 or 3 times a year. I've banged all the rivets too make sure they were in properly, but the leak may be coming from one of them that needs to be sealed, any suggestions would help and I will definelty try them, thanks.
Looking for an Anchor that actually holds!? I just purchased a 1987 Bass Tracker Bass Boat and I am looking for suggestions and information on Anchors that actually will hold the boat when the wind is blowing. I fish at Silverwood Lake in Hesperia CA, and the wind can get pretty bad at times. I am not sure of the weight of the boat, but since the boat is only a aluminum boat it should not be too bad. I need something that will hold no matter what. A big bonus would be a anchor winch that will be able to support this type of anchor. The anchormate series can only handle a 18lb anchor and uses a type of crank that is completely different that what is already on the boat. If anybody has any suggestions or help, thank you.
best aluminum bass boat? hi, i have been saving up for a bass boat so when i get my driving license i can drive down to the public lake to do some fishing. Now im not the richest kid so i think i will have to go aluminum. I was thinking a tracker,lowe,g3, Can you think of any other brands? thanks. Also any tips on buying with not alot of money. Thanks

can my truck pull this boat? My truck is a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, 3.7ltr v6, reg cab, RWD, manual trans, 215 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque and 3800 max tow when properly equip. Ok well I really want a fishing boat. like a small fresh water bass boat like from nitro or tracker. nothing big but it will prbably have a max weight between 2000-3000lbs probly on the lower side of that. Anyway, would my truck be able to tow that out of the water after a day fishing. with coolers n gear n a wet guy. what if i turbo it? i really like the truck and dont want to have to buy a new one to get the boat because that would just be 2 new things n i dont think my wife would go for that.
Boat Drain Plug.....? I'm looking to buy a new bass boat this spring and I know very little about boats.. Can someone please explain to me the drain plug situation.. Where is that water coming from and where is it being stored while I'm fishing? Also the bilge pump.... Is that just for the live well or does assist in the drain plug set up.. Please help. Im looking at a tracker pro team if that helps any... Thanks
Tracker vs. Lowe Bass boats? I went to the boat show this weekend. Found a Lowe (fishing machine) deep-v 17ft bass boat that I thinking of purchasing. Before I was looking at the Tracker deep-v bass boat (Targa). I've got the factory specs on each boat and did a side by side comparison. Not much difference between the two. The Lowe people all said their boat was built stronger and had better real sale value. My question is, if you had to chose which one would you take? http://www.trackerboats.com/boat/?boat=3331 http://www.loweboats.com/showroom/deep-v/fishing-machine/fm175dc.php Added note: The lake I'm going to use is famous for it's rush hour chop and wakes created by VERY large boats during midday in the summer. Smooth ride out in the morning but your going to be lucky to make it back for lunch without a bruised kidney or chipped tooth.

Reasons to get a boat? I need some good reasons to help push myself to buy a boat from a friend. It's not a bass tracker or anything. But it's a really nice steel jon boat with 2 rows of seats and 2 swivel seats, it also has a 9.5 trolling motor. Another friend is wanting to sell me a really nice colt .45 revolver. Both are around the same price 400$. There's a lake probably 15 minutes from my house. It's a big small lake if that makes sense. It's probably only 1 mile long maybe 2 and like a mile wide. But they got some monster fish in it, and I know I'll never be catching them from the bank. I'd honestly go every saturday and sunday unless it rains / storms. My main concern is just the fact that it is a jon boat. I don't know too much about jon boats. But honestly how well can a jon boat stand up? Would I be able to take it to even bigger lakes with tides and rough waters? Will the boat being thrown all over the place if the waters are rough? I was leaning towards the boat, but he said he would let me try it out before I buy, so I might just do that.....
