Deep Sea Fishing in Florida? I once went to Florida in the Clearwater, Indian Rocks, and St. Petersburg area and went deep sea fishing fairly cheap. I am planning a vacation to Miami now, and have looked at prices for deep sea fishing, and they are OUTRAGEOUS. Im talking 700 dollars for 3 hours of fishing. Can anyone explain to me why its so expensive. Im from Kansas, so I am clueless when it comes to sea fishing prices,,?! Also, can anyone suggest a good deep sea fishing charter? no, you shouldn't go on. in fact, you shouldn't of even attempted to answer my question if you couldn't give a logical answer. We are from Kansas, we dont ever have the opportunity to deep sea fish. It's interesting and fun for us. and how does the "bad" economy factor into anything?! I suppose you're too young to know.
Is now a good time for deep sea fishing in Florida? My aunt lives in West Palm Beach. I'm thinking about driving down and going on a charter boat for some big fish. Do I have to take a charter boat to go fishing in the Florida Keys? me, my boyfriend, my friend, and her boyfriend are all going to Cudjoe Key in July. We are young and don't have a large amount of money to spend, but we do intend to enjoy ourselves to the fullest. Well my boyfriend and her boyfriend are very big on fishing and I was wondering do you have to get a charter boat to go fishing? Because, I looked into it and they are expensive, for us at least. This may sound so dumb, but can they just bring their own rods and just fish on the beach. Does anyone know of a cheap place where they can rent a boat of their own maybe, or maybe a cheap charter boat? I know that may sound silly, but if there is tell me? also tell me of any great places to go or things to do. We already booked our snorkeling trip, but is there anything else? Also do they need a license to fish on the beach?

Proof read essay please? I dont know why the paragraphs wont indent, so I put a dash by each paragraph. The topic is about: The advantages of living in Florida. Please tell me if I get off topic too. -Florida is a great place to live in. Residents in Florida enjoy some of its many advantages. Some of these advantages include Florida’s beaches, activities, and the great scenery. Beaches ranging from Fort Lauderdale to Miami are a good example, as well as amusement parks that can be found in Orlando, and the nice natural scenery which the Everglades can offer. The advantages of living in Florida can seem endless. -One advantage to living in Florida are its beaches. Florida is a peninsula, which is good because people living in Florida can live close to a beach. Great beach locations can be found in the eastern part of Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Residents can enjoy swimming, and other activities that the beach has to offer like eating at restaurants or renting a bike to ride along the sidewalks. Residents who spend 4th of July on the beach can expect fireworks to be lit off far out into the sea by boats. Many events take place on the beachside as well. Some of these events include cultural festivals and music festivals. These things make Florida’s beaches satisfy those living there. -Another advantage of living In Florida is the activities. Florida is home to amazing theme parks. Theme parks like Disney World or Busch Gardens can offer endless fun for many like riding roller coasters or enjoy shows and parades. Another activity residents enjoy is fishing. Florida offers many places to fish since there are many big and small bodies of water like ponds or canals throughout the area. Places like Dania beach pier or the everglades house many different types of fish to catch such as King Fish which is found in saltwater or Largemouth Bass which is found in freshwater. Residents can also try fishing on a charter boat for big game fish, like Tarpon or Blue Marlin. -The scenery in Florida is another advantage as well. The Everglades can offer many breath-taking views for most. Visitors can watch wildlife like the various fish or larger animals like alligators or manatees. If one enjoys seeing plants, he or she can explore the Everglades, which has many species of plants like Palm Trees and Mangroves. Miami and Orlando both have nice architecture and natural scenery. Orlando has great-looking theme parks like Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, and Miami’s South Beach has many hotels illuminated by neon lights one can enjoy seeing at night. -Living in Florida has its variety of advantages as described. Residents made a smart decision living in Florida. Without a doubt, Florida pleases its residents with the many advantages it has to offer. Some may agree that Florida can be the best place to live, others can have doubts. Nonetheless, every resident can have their opinion.

How to get a job on Deep Sea Charter Boat? I'm 18 and still in high school in New England and started fishing about two years ago (just starting to get good now) and would love to make a career out of it. I've dreamed about taking tourists out everyday to try and land some salt water fish for a while now so I'd love to make it a reality. Thanks!

Why do I get dizzy so easily? I took a fishing trip on Lake Michigan (Chicago) and was throwing up the entire time because the water was choppy. Ever since that trip I keep getting dizzy very easily. When I take a car ride or turn quickly I feel like the world is spinning. What do you think is wrong? I will be taking another trip this summer to the Florida coast and will be on a fishing charter with my family but we won’t be in the ocean but In-shore so there will be more calm waters, what should I take ahead of time to prevent seasickness?

How do I ship fish meat on an airplane? I caught some fish on a charter boat in the Florida Keys. I leave tomorrow and do not want to waste the meat. It is mahi-mahi. I actually packed it in my luggage. I went to Target and bought a vacuum sealer and some cold packs. I stuck in my luggage and it was cold and in tact when I got home. We have been making different meals with the fish all weekend....Tasty! Thanks for the help.
Have you noticed that the Drill Baby Drill crowd has quieted down at the moment? Drill Baby Drill has led to a ban all fishing in the Gulf of Mexico Federal and State waters from Louisiana to the Florida/Alabama line and Florida will probably close tomorrow. All fisherman and fishing charters are in port as of tonight. A swimming advisory has been issued from the Mississippi line to the Florida line and Florida will probably do the same tomorrow from Pensacola to Panama City. Drill Baby Drill? SPILL BABY SPILL
What goes on in Pensacola Florida? A few of my friends and I are going down to Pensacola in May, anyone know about good fishing spots, charters, dance or strip clubs? Thanks everyone
Fort Lauderdale attractions, vacancy, etc...? My fiance and I are going to have a small vacation the last week of July in Fort Lauderdale, FL We're going to be staying close to this location: 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33316 Because there is a fishing charter we will be going out in from there. Other than jet skiing, fishing and eating out we don't have any other plans because we're not familiar with the area. Any suggestions? Also any recommendation on a certain vacancy or seasonal by there? We're probably going to be staying at a hotel, but we really like vacancies and seasonals better, just don't know of any over there. THANKS SO MUCH!

New to Houston area. Could use some info on fishing and boating.? I am just about to purchase a 20' center console type fishing boat. Not quite sure which one yet but leaning towards a Century. I have experience fishing for reds, trout, flounder, snook, etc. down in Florida and want some of the same type of fishing here. The problem is, I have no idea where to go or even where to launch a boat once I get it. Is there a website that I'm not finding or a message board maybe on saltwater fishing and boating in the Houston/Galveston area? I'm considering going on a charter just to see where they take me but there's got to be a better and hopefully cheaper way to find out some of the best spots for boat launching, boat storage, and good fishing. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Rigging for offshore snapper in South Florida? I plan on going out on a charter boat in August out of Haulover and I was planning on bringing my own spinning rod to mess around with along with the rod that they give me. I am planning on fishing for big snappers, such as muttons, and I planned on using my 7ft rod with 20lb mono tied to a 150lb swivel and a couple feet of fluorocarbon leader tied to an 8/0 hook. For bait, I'm mainly gonna be using whole dead spanish sardines, with the tails cut off. I might also use some of the fresh ballyhoo that the captain supplies. Now my question is, how heavy should the leader be? Alot of people say 50 for snapper, but some people said rig up a bit heavier because i might hook up a grouper. Also, fishing from anywhere from 60 to 150 feet of water and maybe even deeper, how heavy should my sinker be? I've heard from as 1 oz to as heavy as 6 oz, but im not quite sure.

Was she wrong or was I wrong? I married after I graduated high school, at eighteen. I divorced at nineteen. Then I went back to college for ten years and wound up getting a Ph. D in Medieval Literature. And now I am unmarried, a teacher at a local university, and I charter a boat on the weekends. Basically, I have a pretty good life. A small dog and a house on the water. I live on Florida's Panhandle. But something happened a couple weekends ago. Every year I charter a boat for a group of men who participate in a fishing tournament. It is a ten thousand dollar top-prize tournament, and it draws in a lot of people. A lot of people. Well, I met up with a woman who was down there just visiting, said she has been going to the tournament since she was a little girl. On the first night, we just had drinks at a bar and got to know each other--she and I are both teachers and we live close to one another. On the second night, naturally, we made love to one another and it was great. She and I are both in great shape. And neither of us had drunk anything that night, so we were very passionate. The tournament, however, is a four day extravaganza, and this woman and I wound up making love six times--four times at night and two during the day (when I wasn't captaining the boat). She is single, with no kids, just like me. But when the tournament was over, I called her up to my room. I shook her hand and told her that it was nice to meet her, and that I enjoyed her company over the last few days. She broke out in tears. Oddly enough, I hugged her and rocked her then commenced to have sex with her again. And it was good sex, passionate, eye-to-eye sex. I came in her, right when she was orgasming. But, even after that, since I am fearful of commitment, I just shook her hand and told her that it was nice to have met her. This time---about an hour after she first started crying---she slapped me and broke down in tears again. And then she left, in tears. Should I get over my commitment phobia and call her?
Do you love to fish? Next time you need a charter or want to rent a boat in the Florida Keys, check with Captain Bob! http://www.vacationboatrentals.com/ Nope not Capt. Ron... Captain Bob is my Dad, and I'm very proud of him. He started with one boat and now is up to almost 20! He's great at what he does, and will get you the big ones!

Deep Sea Fishing Setup Help? I may be going on a private charter in Southwest Florida, offshore. I have been fishing inshore and offshore all my life, but I've never got to test this question. Is it better to have braided or mono line fishing in 70-130 ft of water bottom fishing, for snapper grouper etc. I've heard braid gets taken in the current at that depth easier. But theoretically, if braid is thinner, shouldn't it have less drag in the water? If anybody can help me it would be much appreciated. Also I was wondering what you prefer offshore bottom fishing, spinning or conventional reels? Thanks, 10 points for best answer!!!
What dog should i get? Im starting a charter fishing buisness in Destin Florida and I wanted to know what dog I could get that would love to be on a big boat and will eat live fish? Please help
Savannah, Deep Sea fishing? We are visiting Savannah Georgia (tonight actually) and my dad, who loves fishing, wants to go deep sea fishing. However, the only boats I can find online are Charter Boats and he does not want to charter a boat. When we visited Florida a few years ago, whe was able to go out on a deep sea fishing boat, and he wants to do that again. I've written to the Savannah Chamber of Commerce and they were not much help. They just told me to call the company to see if they had enough people to go and dad would join in. He wants to go on a deep sea fishing boat, not a charter boat. Is there a deep sea fishing boat in Savannah, and do you know the number or where it is?
Old enough to be a deck hand? I was wondering if I was old enough to be a deckhand on a fishing charter, considering most deckhands I see are pretty young. What is a kite rig used for? I'm looking for a charter boat to go fishing in north Florida and i found one that offers kite rig fishing. I found some guides that show diagrams of them, but i'm a amateur fisher and i didn't understand 95% of the terms used. What is it, and would it be fun for a amateur like me? I'm sufficient with pier fishing, but rather new to the saltwater scene. Thanks
