I can't seem to really find an up to date answer but from what I have read it seems to be legal to open carry a blade of any length. I'd carry a shorter one if I had one, but this is all I've got.

Why have a never seen anyone surf fishing in Southeast Florida? I fish the inlests sometimes, and the piers, and from boats. I have never seen anyone fishing form the surf. The poblem with the inlets is the bottoms are usaully rocky and I lose a lot of tackle. Do you know why nobody seems to fish the surf? I am going to give it a try...maybe tonight.
